Focused on Port Equipment
The Heavy Equipment Division is focused on machines and solutions as used in ports and heavy industry. Such as big forklifts up to 33 tons of capacity, reachstackers, empty container handlers and terminal tractors.
Our workshop is fully equipped for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. All the necessary, specific tools are available to carry out this work efficiently.
Just as important as the right tools, is the neccesary knowledge. All our expertise in the field of heavy handling machines, especially of Kalmar and Terberg machines, is centralized at this location. With this specialization we are able to optimize our service to the customer, so that you are always assisted professionally and quickly.
Located in the port of Vlissingen
All activities related to the Heavy Equipment Division are managed from our location in Vlissingen-Oost, part of North Sea Ports. Repairs, maintenance, sale and rental of reach stackers, heavy forklift trucks from 10 to 33 tons capacity and terminal tractors; it’s all coordinated from this business location.
With its location in Vlissingen, the Heavy Equipment Division is located in the middle of one of our main target groups: the port terminals. The strategic location in a seaport also offers the possibility to transport the large machines both by road and by ship.
Large scale expansion
In February 2020, a large-scale renovation and expansion was started at the Feyter Forklift Services location in Vlissingen-Oost. Due to the growth that the Heavy Equipment Division is experiencing, the current space no longer met the requirements.
The expansion of the workshop in particular makes it possible to adequately respond to the growth and to continue to guarantee of fast service that is desired from Feyter. With its spacious layout, the new part will be perfect fit to give room to the large machines that the division specializes in. After completion, the surface of the workshop has almost doubled.
Pop-up workshops
Despite excellent maintenance, technical failures can still occur. In that case, it’s all about fixing the issues as quickly as possible. To reduce down-time of your handling equipment to an absolute minimum, we offer the option to open a pop-up workplace at your site. With this facility, our technicians have the necessary materials at their disposal at all times, in order to resolve malfunctions swiftly.
